Tetra Pak develops, manufactures and markets systems for processing,
packaging and distribution of food. We produce packaging material at
53 plants and have 58 market companies and 58 sales offices around the
world. Every day more than 303 million Tetra Pak packages are
distributed in more than 165 countries.
Development & Engineering unit develops and produces packaging systems
and distribution solutions for liquid food.
PATENT ENGINEER
Within the Development & Engineering platform of the Cor****ate Legal &
Tax function, You will
network and collaborate with an established world-wide set of IP
agents and with the local development centers around the globe,
predominantly in Modena - Italy and Lund - Sweden
You will be based in Modena and you will frequently travel abroad.
In this position You will:
=B7 Identify inventions
=B7 Provide intellectual property related guidance to internal
development teams and management
=B7 Evaluate the business relevance of inventions and various
prospective IPR
=B7 Draft, file and prosecute international patent applications
=B7 Handle trade secrets and pre-emptive publications
=B7 Instruct international patent agents concerning
international patent ****tfolio
=B7 Provide strategic advice to the Management and implement IP
strategy
=B7 Perform validity and infringement studies relating to 3rd
party IPR
=B7 Advise product development/research teams with regard to
potential risks relating to 3rd party IPR
=B7 Provide IPR training and guidance to project managers.
=B7 Handle opposition proceeding at the European Patent Office
=B7 Prepare and handle patent litigation
You are, preferably, a National and/or European patent attorney with a
background in physics, mechanical, electrical or materials
engineering, and you have experience in private practise or industry.
You must have distinctive interest in interdisciplinary subjects, be
motivated team-player with good communication and intercultural
skills.
A strong interest in business matters and a broad technological
interest are required as well as excellent written and spoken English.
Fluency in Italian would be an advantage.
