This time the conference takes place in Krakow the first capital of
Poland and long time seat of its kings. 1795-1918 it was part of the
Austro-Hungarian Empire. As it escaped destruction in the second world
war it is still in beautiful shape recognized by the UNESCO as a
monument of world culture.

KnowRight conferences have been held since 1995 focusing on the
interaction between Intellectual Property Rights, Information Rights,
ethical issues, civil society and information technology. Academics,
practitioners and researchers will meet to discuss a broad range of
issues arising in the context of the Information Society and a
progressively electronic environment. Participation of a wide spectrum
of vested interests will ensure a lively debate. Main topics:
Intellectual property, open source, open content, public sector
information, data protection and data security.
It will be organized by the Austrian Computer Society OCG, sup****ted by
the German Computing Society GI and the German Society for Law and
Informatics DGRI and take place in Krakow / Poland in cooperation with
the Institute of Intellectual Property Law at the Jagiellonian
University.

Submission of extended abstracts or full papers 1 June 2008
Notification of acceptance: 20 June 2008
Camera ready submission: 15 July 2008 (some
extensions may be negotiated)
