X Bar R Charts?

by Chris NA <cnriccominews@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 20, 2007 at 04:55 AM

Hi Guys,

Quick question: Does it make sense to have an X-Bar R chart with an x-
axis that's not based on some form of tem****al measurement? Most of
the examples I see seem to be based on the measurement's hour/day/etc.
Some of the examples, however, just list "subgroup numbers", without a
real explanation of what the subgroups represent.

Again, does it make sense to have an X-Bar R chart with an x-axis
that's not based on time?

Thanks in advance,
Chris
