VP of Operations
Summary Description of the position
Position is responsible for all manufacturing, material control,
purchasing, engineering, validation and IT functions. Position serves
as a member of the Sr. Management Team charged with setting and
implementing business and operational strategy.
Responsibilities:
Day to day management and oversight or the following groups; Technical
Services, Manufacturing, Materials, Purchasing Manager (currently
vacant)
Interface with various function managers (QC, QA, BD, PD, R&D, Project
Mgt, SHE, Finance, etc.)
In a flat matrixes environment as well as Cor****ate board members
Development and implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Sigma quality
programs
Interact with and influence decisions at an the board level
Participate in all major management mechanisms, including strategic
planning, annual operating plans, and organizational development
*****sments and planning.
Execution of the annual production plan to deliver the required API
and finished goods to meet global market and clinical supply needs.
Ensuring GMP requirements are met, and that process improvement plans
are developed and executed and transferred into production operations
through GMP change control
Develop department annual budget and control costs/spending to achieve
financial objectives
Requirements
l BS is a technical discipline
l 5-10 years experience operations management in a cGMP
contract manufacturing environment or other competitive/cost-conscious
manufacturing organization
l Experience in an entrepreneurial, service focused
organization as well as experience in leading cultural change in an
operations organization
l Experience with process improvement tools (Six Sigma, Lean,
TQM)
