EVENTE, INC. ANNOUNCES BETA LAUNCH OF
ONLINE SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Web-Based Solution Helps Small Businesses Buy Smarter, Increase Profits
Evente, Inc. announced the beta launch of Evente.com, a web-based supply
chain management solution that is designed and priced for small
businesses,
but that delivers the benefits, power and security of the large, expensive
purchasing-management systems used by global cor****ations.
Whether a company is a one-person operation or has hundreds of employees,
Evente.com can significantly improve its efficiency in buying raw
materials,
parts, supplies and services. This typically results in cost savings of 5%
to 10% of purchases, which for many companies has the same effect on
profits
as if the company had doubled its total sales.
Todd Taricco, co-founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Evente,
said, "Large companies long ago recognized that supply chain management
systems improve their bottom line. But until Evente.com, small and
middle-market companies did not have access to affordable, easy-to-use
technology that gives them the same smart control of their purchasing."
Evente.com provides virtually all of the features, functionality and
benefits of the costly, complex systems offered by SAP, Ariba, IBM and
other
providers of enterprise-class SCM (supply chain management) solutions,
which
can cost millions and take teams of programmers a year or more to deploy.
Because Evente.com is Web-based, small businesses do not need to install
any
software, and can start enjoying the benefits of increased efficiency and
profitability the day they sign up. "If you can use Google or Yahoo, you
can
use Evente," said Chip Zelt, vice president of business development and
co-founder of the Zephyr Cove, Nevada-based company.
There is no cost to use Evente.com during the beta phase. At the
conclusion
of the beta test period, said Mr. Zelt, users will be charged an
affordable
subscription fee, in the range of $25 per month (for an entire company,
regardless of the number of employees using the system.)
Users who sign up at www.Evente.com during the beta test period will
receive
a waiver of subscription charges not only during the beta test but for the
first full year after the system is formally launched. Mr. Zelt said.
