  They do the same thing that people in the last 200 years have
done... they get skilled-up in another industry and move on. I'm not
sure what your point is here. The market will efficiently end
industries and start new ones. Employees who don't re-skill will
suffer.

I'm not sure what Amish community you live in, but the examples of
innovation are too numerous to count.

99% of the time, innovation is more evolutionary than
revolutionary...I only have to quote Issac Newton "If I have seen
further it is by standing on ye shoulders of giants."
