We provide computer services and we are a small company (2 partners
only).
I have co-marketed with a software company before, we snail mailed
~2000 postcards and split
the advertising and cost 50/50. I am attempting to follow the same
approach with SaaS
(Software as a Service) companies for a new postcard campaign.
The SaaS companies are generally offering 20 or 25% of the monthly
sales income to their
resellers. However, none of the SaaS companies expect to contribute to
the cost of promoting their service??? Their approach is similar to a
100% commission salesperson, with no
assistance for advertising expenses.
I intend to work with only one company if I can find one that will
agree to this approach.
The $'s involved are not huge - almost insignificant for a large
business - to me it's the principle, if I am taking the time to
complete a postcard mailing at least the other company can split the
cost.
How do I find a SaaS company that will work with me? My approach has
been relatively layed back - basically only explaining my mailing plan
and the potential benefits to both our companies.
Suggestions re finding a company that will work with me to complete
the mailing and participate in the expense? btw there are at least 100
companies in this SaaS market, it's a growing
market. The market area has a direct relation to our main service.
