Why do you think that you need all this stuff? And why are
you waiting?
I frequently see a condition where people get so wrapped up
in starting a business that they talk to CPAs and lawyers,
do lots of paperwork, get a $20,000 logo, print up business
cards and letterhead, and then never actually do any business.
It all goes in the trash at the end of the year.
I advocate just the opposite. Forget all the business stuff.
Just go up and sell something. A sale is the be all and end
all in business. Without a sale, nobody does any work, no
products get designed, developed, built, tested, or delivered,
and no money comes in. With a sale, everything else can be
outsourced, done by trained monkeys, or done yourself on your
kitchen table.
So, forget the LLC vrs corp stuff. Simply run as a regular
business (called a "sole proprietor****p"), and go out and
make some sales. If you are successful at this, then worry
about how to deliver the product and getting a CPA. If you
are not successful, then you haven't wasted months of time
or tons of money on CPA's and misc overhead. Instead, you
lost some time and learned some great lessons.
Go do some business. If it works out, then post back, and
we can go from there.
