Those economic stats are calculated on the consumer price index, which
was altered in the '70s to exclude food and energy prices. If you
include the obvious that everyone that shops for food and gasoline,
the real inflation rate is closer to 9%, which would mean the real
economy is shrinking substantially, for 2 quarters in a row, which
puts us in a recession. 'Pubs and Dems may not agree on much else, but
they will agree to keep each other in power, and none of them wants a
truly informed voter to hold them accountable, thus all the
cheerleading agitprop.-Jtnospam
