Then we are finished as an economy, a culture, and a nation.

The only disagreement I might have with the op is that it's not going
to be a national effort -- but an international one, like the Marshall
Plan.

And I think most of the real powers of the world would rather see the
US and the Western World fall entirely into the Third World.
