Mwi*connections stole my money from my credit card, while I never
bought anything from them!
I check my credit card (NORTHWEST WORLD PERKS US BANK) bill and found
that out. I then told the credit company and they agreed to remove the
charges. Since it looks like recurring charge, I asked to stop it
totally. But I was tole they can't stop it! They told me I myself have
to call that company to stop. Is that fair?!

Today I was charged $96 on my VISA card by MWI Connections. I don't
know who
this company is and have not authorized any charge for $96.
I searched on www.google.com for "MWI Connections" and got several
pages of
links re****ting stories and legal actions against this company for
unethical/illegal activities.
Given the widespread and ongoing (since at least year 2000) alleged
unethical/illegal activities of this company I am amazed that VISA
still
allows them to have a merchant account.
I would appreciate knowing if any of you have had dealings with this
company.

I was billed $96 and the bank told me that it was from a company
called MWI connections.I had never heard of this company, so I checked
it out on the web . I found their 800 number through the internet and
called them up. They said that I had ordered something through the TV
informecial and agreed to entertainment services from them, which is
absolutely not true.
I spoke to a man who gave me his name and ID number and says that they
will dredit that amount to my account within a given time period.
Hadn't I checked it out, I would never had found out that I was being
cheated.

MWI 's business is to secretly sign people up for 'services' without
their knowledge, and then continually charge their credit card. They
do this through pop up ads (AOL), buying your information from their
telemarketer partners, and even from the credit card companies.
They usually slam you for several of their services, and so you start
getting charges for "MWI Connections" "MWI HomeWorks",
"MWI*PREMIERHEALTH PLUS" and who knows what else. They have about 50
fake front companies that represent their "services".
They are counting on the thousands (millions) of people that dont
catch these charges. They make interest on your money, and if you
catch them, they will eventually give your money back after you spend
days trying to talk to a person MWI charged my Chase Bank credit card
for services which I did not order and do not wish to receive. I did
not authorize these charges against my account.
These charges were done without my consent, and without my knowledge.
Despite their promise to do so, they failed to produce any evidence of
our ordering, or any evidence of notifying us that we had these
"services", and had to cancel within 30 days or suffer recurring
charges.
Let me just note that MWI"services" are nothing more than being able
to login to a very mediocre web page to order ‘discount' items. No ONE
in their right mind would put their credit card information into their
atrocious infintile web page.
What you need to know is that if you do some research, this company
has been taken to court NINE TIMES by the State ATTORNEY GENERALS of 9
states for deceptive marketing practices. (California, Ohio,
Minnesota, Connecticut, Nebraska, Nevada, Connecticut, among others)
for deceptive marketing and business practices.
Needless to say, scrutinize your credit cards for anything with MWI in
it. This apparently huge, there is lots and lots on this on the
internet.
Search google for "MWI" and there are thousands of complaints.
