I just discovered that a hardware crash that happened back in July on the
system that hosts the moderation software for this newsgroup caused some
unobserved data corruption. As a result, a large number of posts piled up
and were never seen by the moderators. I have approved them (they are the
last 15 posts, excluding this one) and readers should take this delay into
account when considering any replies.
