Traumatic Catastrophes

Our only remaining male child has suffered many traumatic catastrophes in
his young life. Mark Anthony Jones is now 17 years old and has endured the
deaths of both of his older brothers James Richard Jones 16 years old on
or
about May 11th 1996 and Richard Lee Jones 17 years old on or about
December
10th 2000. Mark Anthony Jones was a passenger along with several other
minor
children when the Ford Explorer flipped that they were using to pull a
trailer with a Chevrolet Pick Up Truck loaded on it. This happened on or
about December 10th 2000 and our son watched his brother die. Our youngest
daughter Alisha was in hysterics as she picked up parts of her brothers
brains off the side of the road. Other minor children were injured as
well.
On or about March 16th 1998 Mark Anthony Jones and Richard Lee Jones
watched
as they're father was illegally arrested by a Hinds County Deputy who had
a
run in with James Richard Jones and the entire Jones family after the
Jones
family residents had been attacked by a group of young adults and possibly
some minors from the Raymond area just three days before the death of
James
Richard Jones age 16 and Thomas Yancey Reed age 17. I am the father of
James
Richard Jones, Richard Lee Jones and Mark Anthony Jones. After my illegal
arrest I was railroaded off to prison where I was when I was given notice
that my son Richard Lee Jones had just been killed.
I was devastated to say the very least but I still didn't know the full
story. My oldest daughter and/or her husband had apparently sold the Ford
Explorer 4x4 to my son Richard Lee Jones. The Explorer was financed to my
daughter's husband or his mother and was mortgaged property. The Explorer
was insured to the legal owners and while the insurance was used to pay
off
the totaled out Explorer no money was paid for the minor-children injured
and/or killed. The Explorer was sold to my minor-son on a payment plan and
the vehicle my son was pulling was being pulled from and/or off the
property
of the parents of my daughter's husband. My son was not experienced in the
pitfalls of pulling vehicles that likely weighed more that the Explorer
being used to pull with. There was a question of the vehicle loaded on the
trailer being improperly loaded and there were individuals present that
should have known better due to them holding a commercial drivers license.
A
truckload of minor-children has no business undertaking such a dangerous
task to start with. Had I not been held illegally in prison and thusly
removed from my family the incident would most likely never have happened.
My family was forced to flee from Hinds County after I was illegally
arrested and placed on suicide watch in the Hinds County Detention Center
for two immensely long years and then a kangaroo court was held and I was
railroaded off to prison with my children watching. We have a letter dated
June 2nd 1998 from the ACLU stating ethical reasons for not wanting to get
involved and signed by David Ingebretsen Executive Director. The lawyer
that
the letter made reference to was allowing me to be tortured and subjected
to
inhumane treatment as well as vilifying my wife and I. Our children were
suffering as well as dieing. About a year after the death of my son
Richard
Lee Jones the Mississippi Supreme Court decided to overturn the completely
bogus and illegal proceedings while still attempting to give them some
kind
of legal legitimacy. Naturally a split decision was rendered and a hint of
a
so-called new trial was mentioned. The bogus sentence of 8 years was
vacated
and I was basically thrown out the back door of prison via the Mississippi
Supreme Court. I was taken before Hinds County Circuit Court Judge and
told
to go to Lamar County to await the so-called new trial. It has been four
years now and no trial has been had and the Hinds County Prosecutor says
there will be no new trial because they have no evidence. Well that
certainly didn't stop them before see Jones v. State, 798 So. 2d 1241
(Miss.
2001).
Deputy Newman was not assaulted and I am not and was not a convicted
felon.
My son Anthony has suffered far too much and I have been brutalized and I
am
a shut in for the most part and we are still being persecuted due to
economic sanctions being levied against us. My SSI Disability benefits
still
have not been reinstated and my son and my wife also suffer because of
that.
We have tried and tried to find a lawyer to take our case and we have
heard
every excuse in the book as to why they can't from they don't want to step
on any toes to it is just to big to they don't have the resources to
undertake such a large case to etc., etc., etc.
While the statue of limitations run out on case after case we are left
with
only the traumatic catastrophes that have destroyed our family.
