how to do a relocation research?

by shonend@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Aug 3, 2005 at 07:52 AM

(USA)
I'm trying to find some good relocation resources on the internet and
would appreciate if anyone could point me to it.

I am looking for a new job and also I'm open for relocation. When I see
the interesting posting or get an offer that is in a city that I know
nothing about, or anyone from there, I need to do a research on what
neighbourhoods and suburbs are considered "better" to live in,
regarding crime rate, affordable renting rates, decent housing...etc.
For example some websites with comprehensive reviews on such matter,
charts, easy-to-create comparisons, message forums with people's
opinions and experiences...?

Please tell me how do YOU deal with this.

Thanks a lot,
Shone
