My first post here, so bare with me :)
There have been other similar posts on this forum but mine is a bit
different.
I have had my domain name with PagesGarden.com for a year. I also had
a webhosting plan with them, but when I started having trouble with
emails I moved my hosting plan to another company. But I left my
domain name at pagesgarden. Unfortunately I did not know that a domain
n. can be transfered only 35+ days before its expiry, and thus was too
late to transfer it to the new registrar. I was told that I have to
renew it, but by reading numerous reviews:

It looked like a hopeless situation.
The domain expired yestarday.
I also contacted pagesgarden's parent company publicdomainregistry.com
to see if I could renew my domain with them instead, but they said
that I should contact my registar and tell them to contact PDR for the
renewal. The problem with that was that PG stopped responding to any
emails.
Is there anyone else I could complain to? ICANN? When will I be able
to register my domain with another registrar? after 75 days?
Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

For the time being I have registered my domain with a different
