I'm asking this on behalf of a mate of mine - Andrew Trigwell who owns
www.mrbonx.com His website used to be the .co.uk version of this
domain name. Andrew paid a web design company to register this name
for him and they created the site for him, managed it and hosted it.
Andrew recently decided to change his domain name from .co.uk to .com
and now uses a different web design company who manages and hosts this
new site for him. What he wants to do now is get his former web design
company to put a redirection on the .co.uk address so the .com site
loads even if you type in .co.uk or click on an old link to the .co.uk
- so he doesn't loose anybody. Unfortunately, right now, it leads
people to the former web design company's site and they are not
responding to e-mails or phone messages. The owner of the web design
company even lives in the same town (East Grinstead) and Andrew even
sees him from time to time, but he refuses to speak to Andrew. What
can Andrew do? He paid for the .co.uk site so it's his, right? So he
has a right to get it to redirect to whatever site he wants, right? So
can the web design company be forced, legally, to do as Andrew asks?
