Just a FYI.
Petco gives a coupon book out if you bring in proof that you just
adopted a new pet. We adopted 2 greyhounds in the last 2 months and
Petco gladly gave us 2 books.
In June, we went to the Petsmart, asked if they had similar books. The
ca****er said yes, and gave us a booklet with a bunch of information
having on a new dog, with several coupons in the middle. No problem.
In August (a few days ago) we went with our second greyhound and asked
the same ca****er for a second book. Manager had to be called. Then
there was some whispering. Then the manager tells me that just
yesterday cor****ate demanded that they stop giving coupons out in
their books because "they were being abused". I went back to the
grooming department, and that worker confirmed that all employees were
told to stop giving out coupons. She said previously they had been
"giving them out like candy".
With some fighting, the manager agreed to accept coupons from the
Petco booklet.
Wife and I are mad because we were treated like crooks just for asking
for coupons that Petco gives out happily, and Petsmart gave out just 2
months prior.
Curious if anyone else encountered the same.
