I know its not what you wanted to do but why not a cheap ****table dvd
player? A cheap cd/dvd zip up storage folder thingy would be 5 to 10
quid and hold 20 to 30 dvds. Its cheaper and requires no fannying about
with ripping discs and having to crack the security on the dvd. Thing
is of course that the dvd player will be a bit bigger to store - but it
does have s decent size screen to watch, but it won't be half as ***y as
an Archos.
One thing you might want to think about is how you propose to keep
whichever solution you chose secure in hospital. My dad is currently in
hospital and someone stole his old walkman - worth all of 25p at a boot
sale, wasn't even a good branded one just cheapo trash, in fact the
batteries were worth more than the walkman :o(
