Hello all

I am thinking of buying the Apple iPod Classic 80GB Black
This is a 6th generation machine & I would like to know is generation 7 
coming out soon & what to buy as accessories especially what to look out 
for. Is the extended guarantee worth getting from Richer Sounds?
Or any other hard drive based player that has a good battery life.
