Where can you find scissors which works?

We used to have good scissors; I bought a pair in Poundland, but the
blades were not well aligned, so cutting was hit and miss.

Oh well then, what can you expect from a pound shop? So I tried
more upmarket department sores, but the scissors there looked
virtually the same as the Pundland models, only the prices were
higher. So I gave them a miss, not wanting to waste my money.
