Is this the system where you get a smart card and a card reader (a bit
like a calculator that you slot the card into the back of?)
Mine works brilliantly, and I've changed the pin code successfully.
Mind you, mine is a business customer card / card reader. I have to
say that the simplicity of use is brilliant, and it certainly makes me
feel that the transactions have that additional element of security
about them.
But of course, YMMV
