Shell - neither a discount nor a bargain

I had almost 4000 points in Shell's pluspoints loyalty scheme - they have
said they "can't" transfer these into the new (to me) Drivers Club scheme
because they've expired.
Too bad they didn't bother to tell me that this would happen. :-(
