Official Rules

improve your chances of winning. OFFERED AND OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS
OF
THE 50 UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA WHO RESIDE AND ARE
PHYSICALLY
LOCATED IN THE US AND DC, AND WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AS OF
5/1/08.
Void in Puerto Rico and other US territories and possessions. Sweepstakes
begins on or about May 1, 2008 at 12:01 AM Central Time (CT) and ends on
June 30, 2008 11:59 PM Central Time (CT) ["promotion period"]. This
Sweepstakes is sponsored by Spectrum Brands, Inc. ("Sponsor").
HOW TO ENTER: Visit www.Remington-products.com, click on the "Cadillac
Sweepstakes" promotion icon and complete the official entry form.
Limit of one entry per person regardless of method of entry. Although
subsequent attempts to enter may be received, only the first entry
received
from a particular individual will count; subsequent attempts to enter will
be disqualified. The submission of an entry is solely the responsibility
of
the entrant. Entries may only be made according to the methods described
above. Proof of sending (such as an automated computer receipt confirming
delivery of email, "thanks for entering" message or post office receipt)
does not constitute proof of actual receipt by Sponsor of an entry for
purposes of these Official Rules. Automated entries (including but not
limited to entries submitted using any bot, script, macro, or sweepstakes
service), copies, third party entries, facsimiles and/or mechanical
reproductions are not permitted and will be disqualified. Only eligible
entries actually received by Sponsor before the end of the specified entry
period will be included in the prize drawing. Unintelligible, incomplete,
or garbled entries will be disqualified. All entries become the property
of
Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or returned.
PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize: Winner will receive a 36-month lease on a
2008
Cadillac CTS, which will feature standard options. (Approximate Fair
Market
Value: $19,000). Prize to be awarded through a dealer of Sponsor's
choice
in the winner's area. The winner must take possession of the Grand Prize
vehicle no later than thirty (30) days after receiving notice that the
vehicle has been delivered to the dealer****p and is ready to be claimed.
Color and features of chosen vehicle are at the sole discretion of
Sponsor.
Taxes on prize are the sole responsibility of winner. All licenses,
registration, title and insurance fees associated with the Grand Prize
vehicle, as well as all other costs involved in claiming, owning and
operating vehicle are the sole responsibility of the winner. Grand Prize
vehicle will not be released to winner until satisfactory proof of
insurance
and valid driver's license has been provided. Sponsor has not made and
Sponsor is not responsible in any manner for any warranties,
representations, or guarantees, express or implied, in fact or law,
relating
to the Grand Prize vehicle, regarding the use, value or enjoyment of the
prize, including, without limitation, its quality, mechanical condition,
merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose, with the exception
of
any standard manufacturer's warranty that may apply to the Grand Prize
vehicle or any component thereto.
Two (2) First Prizes: Winner will receive a trip for winner and one (1)
guest to Atlanta, GA to attend the Cadillac Races (ARV $2300). First
Prize
trips consists of round trip coach airfare for winner and one (1) guest
from
major commercial air****t near winner's residence (winner and guest are
responsible for trans****tation to and from departure air****t); 3 days/2
night's hotel accommodations (one standard room, double occupancy),
transfers to and from the hotel and $400 cash in the form of a gift card.
Winners and guests must travel together on same itinerary and must travel
on
dates as specified by Sponsor. Travel companion must be 18 years of age
or
older at the time trip is taken in order to accompany winner on trip. All
unspecified meals and expenses are the sole responsibility of the winners.
All travel arrangements and accommodations are solely at the discretion of
Sponsor. If the race is cancelled for any reason, no additional
compensation will be paid in connection therewith. Once confirmed, trip
dates and travel accommodations cannot be changed by winner; however,
travel
is subject to availability, blackout dates, and/or change due to
cir***stances beyond Sponsor's control. Prizes cannot be used in
conjunction with any other promotion or offer and may not be separated.
All
tickets issued in conjunction with the Prizes are not eligible for
frequent
flyer miles, and no code-share flights may be used. Actual value of trip
varies based upon point of departure and airfare fluctuations. Any
difference between ARV and actual value of prize will not be awarded.
Approximate Retail Value of all Prizes: $23,600.00. Prizes are not
transferable. Prize substitutions will not be allowed; except, Sponsor at
its sole discretion may substitute a prize of comparable value for
advertised prize due to prize unavailability for any reason. Limit one
prize per household/e-mail address.
WINNER SELECTION: Winners will be selected in a random drawing on or about
July 15, 2008, from all eligible entries received. All drawings will be
conducted by Fulfillment Systems Inc. (the "Judging Organization") whose
decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this
Sweepstakes.
Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
Prize Winners will be notified by telephone or mail. Each prize winner and
his/her respective travel companion may be required to sign, notarize and
return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release and
provide any additional information (such as social security number), that
may be required by Promotion Entities, except where prohibited by law.
Except where prohibited by law, potential winners must return all required
do***ents (together with travel companion's required do***ents) within 10
days following attempted notification or prize may be forfeited. Return
of
any prize/prize notification as undeliverable, or inability of Sponsor to
contact a potential winner may result in disqualification and selection of
an alternate winner by random drawing. Winners will be issued an IRS Form
1099, which do***ents the value of the prize for tax purposes. Any
difference between actual value of a prize and the approximated value of a
Prize as stated in these Official Rules will not be awarded.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: By entering, participants agree to these Official
Rules
and the decisions of Sponsor and the Judging Organization. Sponsor, the
Judging Organization and their agencies, their respective parents,
subsidiaries, affiliates and the officers, directors, agents and employees
of any of the foregoing entities are not responsible or liable for: (1)
garbled, illegible, incomplete, damaged, misdirected, late, lost or failed
electronic entries; (2) telephone, electronic, hardware, software,
network,
Internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties of any kind;
(3)
errors or delays in transmission; (4) any condition caused by events
beyond
the control of the Sponsor which may cause the Sweepstakes to be disrupted
or corrupted; (5) any losses, damages, or any injuries caused directly or
indirectly by the acceptance or use of the prize or from participation in
the Sweepstakes; (6) any printing or typographical errors in any materials
associated with the Sweepstakes. Sponsor and the Judging Organization may
disqualify you at their sole discretion if you show a disregard for the
Sweepstakes or Official Rules, or if you act: (a) in a manner they
determine
to be not fair or equitable; (b) with an intent to annoy, threaten or
harass
any other entrant or the Sponsor; (c) in any other disruptive manner; or
(d)
in violation of the Spectrum Brands Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions
of
Use at www.remington-products.com. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole
discretion to cancel, terminate or suspend this Sweepstakes should
electronic viruses, other malicious software attacks, unauthorized human
intervention, systems malfunctions, failures, difficulties or other causes
beyond the control of Sponsor and its agencies corrupt or affect the
administration, security, fairness or proper play or conduct of the
Sweepstakes. In such event, for all affected drawing(s), the winners will
be
selected in a random drawing from among all eligible mail-in entries
received for such affected drawing(s) and online entries received for such
affected drawing(s) prior to and/or after (as appropriate) the action
taken
by Sponsor. In such event, notice will be posted on
www.remington-products.com. By accepting prize, the Prize winners consent
to
the use of his/her name and/or likeness for advertising/ publicity/trade,
Internet and promotional purposes without further compensation, except
where
prohibited by law. By entering this Promotion, entrant agrees to release
and
hold harmless, Sponsor, and any promotional partners, the Judging
Organization, each of their related companies, and each of their
respective
officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively the "Released
Parties") from and against any losses, damages, rights claim or cause of
action of any kind arising, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly,
out
of participation in the Sweepstakes or resulting directly or indirectly,
from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize awarded in
connection with the Promotion, including without limitation personal
injury,
death, and/or property damage, as well as claims based on publicity
rights,
defamation, and/or invasion of privacy.
ELIGIBILITY: Employees and agents of Sponsor and its affiliates,
advertising, promotional, and official judging agencies,
distributors/wholesalers, retailers, their immediate families (parents,
siblings, children, spouse) or those living in the same household of each
are not eligible to enter or win.
WINNERS' LIST: Winners' first name and last initial will be posted online
at
www.remington-products.com after all winners have been confirmed.
