I have been remodeling a house for several months now, the house had
termites previously and was tented in 2004. During the remodelig I was
ripping walls and ceilings down and ran into many spots where there were
termite damages, studs and rafters that upon touches sent handful of
termite
droppings down. I don't think there are any live termites there now, but
now that all the walls are opened I am considering tenting the house as a
perventative measure.
However, the house is a wrap around house, with the rooms on the outside
surrounding a central courtyard with a swimming pool, and the entire
courtyard is covered in an overhead screen. The courtyard is about
50'x30'
in size.
I don't think it's possible to tent the house without including the entire
courtyard as well, there is no way to remove the overhead screening so
that
would make the tent a lot bigger. If the entire screened courtyard is
included, then the entire pool will be under the tent. Does the gas
dissolve in water and will that be a problem? The pool holds about 25000
gallons of water.
I also have a spider problem they are really infesting the underside of
the
aluminum screen in the courtyard and I kept spraying them and they kept
coming back. Will the tenting also kill off all the spiders?
