I have an ant problem, too.

I have ants in my attic. I only know that because they have
come out to take over one of my hummingbird feeders.

I'm in central Texas, and these ants seem to be red and
black. Slightly bigger than fire ants. I've never seen
them in the house.

If I stick up one of those ant bait things near the hole
where they enter/exit to get to the hummingbird feeder,
is there any chance they'll visit it and carry the bait
back to the rest of the colony? Or must I take more drastic
measures?
