I have been using termidor to treat the exterior perimeter and phantom on
the interior to keep ants out of my house, and it's been working great. I
used the most diluted version 0.75oz mixed with 1 gallon to treat the
exterior foundation and found that it will keep ants out for about 4
months
then they invade again. It's hard to rid of bugs in south Florida, and I
am
not sure how well the chemicals stay on the foundation during the summer
months when it pours every day.
One question I have is I read the instructions back and forth and it does
not say if these insecticides have any "expiration" date. How long do
they
last in a bottle? If I bought them a year ago is it still good to use
today? When I first got it it was a milky solution now it is still milky
with a 1mm layer of brown fluid on top, is that settlement is it still
effective if I mix it up?
Second, I have another house where I have opened up my concrete slab for
some drainage repair, now I am ready to close it back up before I pour
concrete I am thinking I can spray the soil with termidor? Will that
help?
What is the best way to prevent termite penetration since the moisture
barrier originally below the slab has now been penetrated due to repair?
Thanks,
MC
