Goo'day mate... oops wrong country :)
Here in the states there are outdor occuring weevils that attack acorns
that will have the extended mouthpart. Possibly rodents have brought in
a stash inside the walls where the insects are now finding their way
inside. Rodent baits in the attic may be the source also along with just
something maid of seed you just haven't found yet..
