We need to get rid of some rats, and there are cats and owls in the
area. We haven't used poison because of that, but the traps just
aren't getting enough of them. A recent thread stated that rat poison
won't harm the animals that eat the rats unless they get a lot of it.
But it didn't specify which types of poison. I am hesitant to use a
poison without knowing for sure that it really won't hurt the cats.
I also tried to look up the topic of contraceptives for rats as that
would greatly reduce the population if they are dying out without
reproducing. I found several webpages referring to contraceptives
being used in China to control the rat population, but I couldn't find
any information on which contraceptive or where to get it. It was
being flavored to entice rats, so I would think there muct be a
product available somewhere. Anybody know more about this?
