History: Qingdao Huaxia Rubberbelt Co. Ltd., started to produce
sidewall belting in 1998, initially for the Chinese domestic market,
and in 2002 SBS made the first contact with them. After testing
initial samples of
sidewalls and cleats where the results were very encouraging, SBS made
first visit to Qingdao to view the production, and this confirmed to
everybody that here was a company that already had extensive knowledge
in the production of the sidewall belt product. Since that time, SBS
have used tens of thousands of metres of sidewalls as well as complete
sidewall belts to supplement SBS production in the UK, and SBS have
found these products to be equal with those produced by other leaders
in this field.
The conclusion of our continued association with them was the
formation of a 50/50 Joint Venture in May 2007 under the name Qingdao
Global Specialised Belting Supplies Co. Ltd, and the main details of
this company are as follows -
The company operates from a production area of 4200m2, with a
production staff of 57 and 10 in sales/administration/management. With
regard to sidewall and cleat manufacture we have a total of 409 moulds
and 13
compression moulding presses. For complete belt assembly, there are 6
production lines all based on hot vulcanising process. Currently, we
are
producing in Qingdao, 70,000m of sidewalls and 40,000m of complete
belt per year. As to our production range, we can produce sidewalls
height from 40mm to 630mm, cleats from 35mm to 580mm, and complete
belts width from 300mm to 2400mm, in all major internationally
accepted rubber grades.
Our products are sold widely into all European countries, as well as
USA, Australia, India, Africa and S. America, as well as of course in
the Chinese domestic market.
