I've been checking out ****pping costs for a 52" lcd TV from California
to Norway.
It seems to be very difficult to find online rates - especially for
****pments of this size (approx. 150 lbs / 70 kg, l/w/h approx. 60 x
20x 40 in / 150 x 50 x 100 cm)
I tried to calculate an estimate on fedex.com - but i couldn't find a
category which accepted the measurements. I tried adjusting the weight
to 50 kg and the size to 100 x 35 x 70 cm - and got a price estimate
of about $1000 !!! Given this - my TV would probably end up around
$2000.
If this is a normal price level for a ground ****pment of an item like
this - it's not a service - it's a robbery!
I also have to pay 25% sales tax on the ****pping cost - making the
****pping more expensive than the TV itself
I would be very grateful for any information about ****pping
possibilities and prices for this one. I hope it will be possible to
****p this item without having to pay more for ****pping than for the
TV !!!
