                       Frequently Asked Questions
                       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Q.  What is the main focus of alt.business.im****t-ex****t.only?
A.  The alt.business.im****t-ex****t.only Newsgroup focuses on meeting the
    needs of real international traders by providing a forum for traders
to
    discuss international trade issues and other related topics which
effect
    the way they conduct business in an ever-changing global economy.
Q.  Is advertising of legitimate trade offers allowed to be posted to
    alt.business.im****t-ex****t.only?
A.  Advertising of legitimate trade offers is not only allowed but
encouraged
    in the newsgroup.  The keywords being legitmate trade offers or
    inquiries.  Advertising which does not meet the critieria of being
    directly related to international trade or the needs of international
    traders will be rejected.
Q.  Is there any specific format which advertising posts should follow?
A.  Advertisements for trade offers should be limited to text and the
upper
    128 ASCII characters.  Advertisements containing HTML code and MIME
    encoded messages will be rejected.  Set your message margins for a
    maximum of 80 characters per line.  Using a 76 character line leaves
room
    for quote marks on replies.
Q.  Do all messages have to be in English?
A.  Although most of the messages you will see are in English, it's not a
    requirement.  Messages in other languages are welcome as well as using
    the entire IBM ASCII character set so you can spell your name
properly.
    Posting in your language, with a translation in English, will give you
a
    wider audience.
    Unfortunately, many message programs change the character sets around
for
    languages such as Chinese and Russian.  That makes it impossible to
use
    the on-line translation programs.   Please use services like
    http://www.tranexp.com:2000/InterTran
to include a rough translation
    into English so you can reach a wider audience.
Q.  How do I submit messages and advertisements of trade offers to
    alt.business.im****t-ex****t.only?
A.  Submissions to alt.business.im****t-ex****t.only may be E-Mailed to
    Intl Trade <biztrade@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
> or may be submitted via your current
    Internet Service Provider (ISP) to the newsgroup for routing to the
    moderators.
Q.  How often should I post messages to the Newsgroup.
A.  Once a week will keep several copies of your offer or request current
and
    readable on all the InterNet systems.
Q.  Is there any way an international trader can obtain unrestricted
access
    to the newsgroup so posts can be submitted on a regular basis without
the
    need for moderator approval?
A.  Information on how an international trader can obtain unrestricted
access
    is available by E-Mailing either of the moderators.  You can also
