Billy has the rare honor of being featured on literally hundreds of
Elvis-related websites by die-hard Elvis Fans. He is humbled although
appreciative at this gesture. His 2002 release plays on radio stations
worldwide. Nobody was more surprised by this more than Billy himself!
This made him an overnight sensation in the "Elvis World." Elvis DJs
spin his record on a steady rotation, and it is especially heard more
often on Special Elvis Days-birthday,etc.
Billy began his musical career at the age of 13. His first band was
called "Billy Rebel & The Young Rebels." He first recorded an original
composition of his own at age 16 called "Story of a Town", a country
ballad. It went over well with audiences although had limited
distribution. In the early years Billy also sang Folk songs, such as
Bob Dylans "Blowin In The Wind" and Ian Tyson's "Four Strong Winds',
among many others. He accompanies himself on guitar which he first
learned to play at age 10.
He is also working on his autobiography. "The Life & Times Of Billy
Rebel" (copyright) commissioned and to be publshed by a well known
company. It will recount Billy's special moments in the music field,
and his many wonderful experiences. It will be ready for release in
the fall of next year. Look for it!
