Escheat checks

I am a consultant for a Federal contractor and all the funds are
Federal.  We have a huge outstanding check list going back over 10
years.

Can we escheat Federally funded uncashed checks?  I found nothing about
this in the FAR nor in the State site.  If anybody has any ideas where
I can find this info.,  please let me know.
