No presumption needed. Your faulty claim was that Google was preventing 
anyone from accessing that particular group. Following your instruction, I

gained immediate access to the group.

The problem is on your end. If not a browser setting, then a setting in
some 
security software you have running, a firewall... whatever it is, it ain't

Google.
