of the Week: "I have serious questions as to how two investigations

into identical allegations (against the FAA) could result in such
divergent
conclusions," Chairman James Oberstar (D-MN) wrote in the letter dated
June
5th to the Dept. of Trans****tation

Jet Fuel Prices Soar, Stocks Crash!!!

---------------------------------------------------------------------
As Bill Sees It (Editorial): It Costs More For The Aviation Cabal To
Pollute!!! Every time you shell out more of your hard earned money to put

gas in your car, just think that the airlines are paying more also and it
won't hurt so bad. Of course the airlines, at least the ones that survive,

will pass on the fuel increases to their customers, so ticket prices will
rise also. I say fine. Let ticket prices double, triple or quadruple so
less
people will fly and less goods be sent by plane at 3AM in the morning over

residential communities.

Congressman Questions FAA Investigation Into Parts Supplier!!! Army
investigators say a aircraft materials supplier sold "sub-standard"
materials to airlines and the government, yet the FAA investigation into
the
same supplier found no problem!!! Somebody must be wrong. Does the FAA
have
a lower standards for safety? Can the DOT, which has "some" oversight over

the corrupt, vicious FAA agency whitewash the whole matter? Can Oberstar
be
trusted to do his own investigation or is he just looking for a few good
headlines? I seen things like this pop up before only to soon become last
week's news with no follow-up.

"Environmental" Group Wants "Smart Growth" For New York's Stewart Air****t:

I've seen how air****t "authorities" use "environmental" groups when they
want to expand and increase their pollution. This week the New York Times
did a story on how a group called Scenic Hudson is going to make sure that

the planned expansion of New York's Stewart Air****t is going to be an
example of "smart growth." The only thing smart will be how the ****t
Authority of NY and NJ buys the sup****t of this group with grants, jobs
and
contracts for environmental oversight over "sensitive" land. The ****t
Authority are experts at buying environmentalist sup****t for the most
obscene expansion projects. When I was a member of the N.Y. City chapter
of
the Sierra Club I fought against the destruction of a bird colony in a
WILDLIFE PRESERVE at the end of a JFK Air****t runway. The ****t Authority
hired the head of the Sierra Club chapter to head their bird control
(eradication) program. The Audubon Society (in my opinion) also got bought

off and was given grants to "manage" unused lands around the air****t
owned
by the ****t Authority. The environmental idealism of the sixties has
devolved to a blackmailing operation. I would think that the ****t
Authority
could buy the help of Scenic Hudson cheap.

Call for DOT to Investigate FAA!!! The Chairman of the House
Trans****tation
Committee sent a letter today raising questions about an FAA investigation

into Airtech International, a major supplier of materials used in the
production of military and civilian aircraft. CBS News re****ted on May
22nd
that Army investigators alleged that Airtech has sold sub-standard
materials
to virtually every aircraft manufacturer in the world. Airtech denied the
allegations to CBS quoting an FAA investigation which found no wrong doing

and considered the matter "closed." "I have serious questions as to how
two
investigations into identical allegations could result in such divergent
conclusions," Chairman James Oberstar (D-MN) wrote in the letter dated
June
5th to the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Trans****tation. In
other words, the Committee is wondering why the four-year Army
investigation
alleged fraud and the subsequent one-month FAA investigation found no
illicit activity.

Airline Stocks In A Tailspin!!! NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Airline shares
flew into a tailspin Friday, retreating in the face of oil prices that
probed record highs and U.S. economic data that raised fresh concerns that

airline traffic could be significantly affected by a contracting domestic
economy.XAL 19.22, -1.43, -6.9%) fell 6.9% to close at 19.22 points, with
all 14 components fini****ng in the red. The Dow Jones Industrial Average
meanwhile, closed down 395 points at 12,309. See Market Snapshot.
According
to Labor Department data, the U.S. unemployment rate jumped by half a
percentage point to 5.5% in May, the biggest increase in seasonally
adjusted
unemployment in 33 years. Nonfarm payrolls fell by 49,000 last month,
marking the fifth consecutive decrease. See Economic Re****t.Adding insult
to
injury, crude for July delivery rallied for a second day, fini****ng up
$10.75 a barrel at $138.54 as the dollar declined in the wake of the
latest
job data. United Airlines parent UAL Corp. was the biggest decliner, off
14.5% at $8.64. United said it would offer voluntary separation packages
for
up to 600 eligible flight attendants as part of the carrier's previously
announced job-cutting plan.

New York: "Environmental" Group Offers To Help Make A Green Stewart
Air****t!!! This week, Ned Sullivan (picture on the left), the president
of
Scenic Hudson, is answering questions about how New York City and its
residents can preserve land and promote smart growth along the Hudson
River.

Question? Are you concerned about the potential for massive sprawl
development when Stewart Air****t is expanded into a major area travel hub?

Air****ts create lots of business, warehousing, aviation services, etc.
Given
the development patterns around Stewart and the mid-Hudson, odds are good
the employees of those businesses will demand single family homes in
car-dependent neighborhoods.- Posted by JK

Answer: We see both risks and op****tunities with Stewart's expansion. For
those who aren't familiar with this air****t, it is a small regional
facility
in Orange County near the City of Newburgh. The ****t Authority of New York

and New Jersey acquired the air****t from a private owner in the past year,

as part of a plan, announced by former Governor Spitzer in 2007, to make
it
the fourth major downstate air****t, providing relief to Newark, LaGuardia
and JFK. We believe that a major expansion of this small facility into the

fourth major air****t would have serious damaging effects to the Hudson
Valley - noise, air pollution, visual impacts, more sprawling development,

and a burden on local taxes. However, a more modest, well planned
expansion
that incor****ates good land use planning, "smart growth" principles,
"green"
design features and good trans****tation links on the ground could be
beneficial to the region. The key is to get it right. Editor's Note: Where

was Scenic Hudson when people where demanding that a public forum be held
BEFORE the ****t Authority took over Stewart Air****t? The answer. They kept

quiet; which is more than this 24 hour-a-day operating environmental
atrocity will be. No doubt they are looking for grant money so they won't
cause trouble.
