 Changes Aviation Pollution Sup****ters

---------------------------------------------------------------------
As Bill Sees It: (Editorial) Democrats Will Continue To Push Air****t
Pollution Expansion!!! Don't expect any changes in the never-ending spiral

of air****t pollution expansion with a democrat-controlled congress. The
democrats like to ****tray themselves as pro-environment and pro-community,

but unfortunately, especially when it comes to aviation, they show what
liars and phonies they are. DemocRATS push aviation expansion just like
their Republics*** collegues. Only a few weeks ago Senator Chuck Schumer
(pictured at right), the ultimate political con man, was pu****ng for
air****t
expansion in New York State. I remember when he was my congressman and he
liked to ****tray himself as the protector of communities against air****t
expansion and noise. That was, of course, before he managed to manipulate
his way into the senate, no doubt with money from the wealthy communities
he
helped protect from overflights. But Chuck is really no different than
most
of the democrats who claim to be concerned about the health and
environment
of Americans but make a career of selling us out to the polluters. It is
interesting to note the congresswoman (Sue Kelly) whose district Stewart
Air****t is in got kicked out of office in the current democrat sweep
election. Alright!!!

Racism Charged In Placement Of Flt. 587 Crash Memorial!!! This week was
the
anniversary of the crash of Flt. 587 into the residential community of
Belle
Harbor in New York City. This was the second biggest loss of life in U.S.
aviation history!!! There is a big controversy about the placement of a
memorial to the crash at a spot that is not where the plane crashed. As
the
plane crashed in a wealthy, white section (which by the way always had
very
few overflights), victim's relatives feel that is where the memorial
should
be. After the plane crashed the Belle Harbor community quickly moved to
build homes on the site so it wouldn't become a memorial that would
attract
minorities into to their community and (heaven forbid) use "their" public
beaches. The plane had mostly Dominican Republic American passengers. So
they are insisting that the memorial be located in a public area a mile
away. The Belle Harbor area has long been a Chuck Schumer area, protected
from JFK Air****t overflights. I'm sure he'll continue to protect it from
Flt. 587 memorials. New Democrat Chairman For House Aviation
Subcommittee!!!
Rep. Jerry Costello (pictured on left) is the democrat slated to be the
next chairman of the House Aviation Subcommittee. According to one story
the
Illinois politician "was already a key player on issues im****tant to
Chicago
such as expansion of O'Hare International Air****t and reauthorization of
the
Federal Aviation Administration."

Why do Illinois politicians seem to gravitate to the Aviation
Sub-Committee?
That must be where the money is. Sounds like he is all set to follow in
the
footsteps another Illinois pro-aviation pollution democrat, William
Lipinski. Will so-called major environmental groups protest? Of course
not.
They are all in the pockets of the slimy democrat phonies. The only way to

fight these people is to work to get their constituents (or the FBI) to
help
them leave office.

Alleged "Silent" Jet To Arrive In 2030!!! Who puts out this crap that the

news media eats up? I remember when we used to have Boeing 727 "whisper
jets." Whatever happened to them? This is just more aviation industry hype

to con the public into thinking their quality of life will improve while
aviation expansion continues, when the opposite is the case. When they
make
a vertical takeoff passenger jet I'll pay attention.

Pennsylvania Air****t Politician Gets Kicked Out Of Office!!! Over the
summer, U.S. Rep. Curt Weldon wasn't thinking about merely beating Joseph
Sestak. He wanted to crush the Democrat's congressional aspirations by
racking up a margin of victory so large it would discourage him from
running
again in 2008.But by 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, the 10-term Republican conceded
he
had lost his job in a landslide. "Three weeks ago, we were seven points up

in the polls, and then the bottom dropped out," Weldon said. "What can I
say? I'm not complaining, I'm not whining, I'm not making excuses. It is
what is." Sestak, the retired Navy admiral who took the political scene by

storm this year, toppled the 7th District congressman, ending his hopes of

chairing the House Armed Services Committee and reclaiming the seat
Democrats lost in 1986. Backed by an army of volunteers, an unusual amount

of labor sup****t and a war chest of more than $3 million, the former
Clinton
administration defense adviser defeated Weldon 57 percent to 43 percent
with
89 percent of precincts re****ting, according to unofficial results.
Editor's
Note: I hope other congresspeople who sup****t (or don't oppose hard
enough)
air****t expansion take note.

Lori-Ann Albert's fiancé was flying with the couple's 10-month-old son,
Jayke, to visit family in the Dominican Republic five years ago when
American Airlines Flight 587 crashed in Belle Harbor, Queens, killing all
260 people aboard and five on the ground.

Today, Albert plans to mark the anniversary of the horrific crash the same

way she has every year: with other families of flight victims at the crash

site in the center of the beachfront community.

"That's where the plane went down," she said last week. "So that's where
we
decided we all wanted to spend the morning." The families of passengers
felt
a connection to the site where the plane had crashed at 131st St. and
New****t. But locals thought the corner of a busy thoroughfare was too
centralized, too residential.

Connecticut: Resolution Readied Against Airspace Redesign Plan: Responding

to a Federal Aviation Administration [FAA] plan that would change flight
patterns at tri-state air****ts, a city committee resolution urges the U.S.

Congress to sup****t alternatives in order to keep La Guardia Air****t air
traffic from being rerouted over Fairfield County. The State and Commerce
Committee resolution calls for the FAA to select an alternative airspace
redesign plan that includes either ocean routing or leaves flight paths
unchanged. State and Commerce Committee Chair Paul Esposito said the
resolution was scheduled to be taken out of committee at the Board of
Representatives meeting Wednesday night, Nov. 8, after the Times'
deadline.
Esposito said if the board of representatives approves the resolution, it
will be forwarded to Congress. Funding for FAA programs must be approved
by
Congress. Next year the FAA will issue a final environmental impact
statement and hold public meetings on mitigation strategies the agency
plans
to develop in response to collected comments.

Another Airline Industry Ploy: The "Silent" Passenger Jet!!! A radically
redesigned passenger jet could alleviate a major complaint of people who
live near major air****ts - the deafening sound of planes taking off and
landing. A team of 40 researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology and Cambridge University spent three years working on the wide,

streamlined jet, which they plan to unveil in London. The "silent jet",
which from outside an air****t would sound about as noisy as a wa****ng
machine, would carry 215 passengers and could be in the air by 2030.
"Noise
really is one of the major barriers to air****t expansion and the expansion

of flights," said Edward Greitzer, an MIT professor who helped run the
project. "It gets a lot of complaints." Editor's Note: Of course it's the
complaints that are the problem, not the health effects.

Connecticut: Resolution readied against air traffic plan By JAMES NASH

Responding to a Federal Aviation Administration [FAA] plan that would
change
flight patterns at tri-state air****ts, a city committee resolution urges
the
U.S. Congress to sup****t alternatives in order to keep La Guardia Air****t
air traffic from being rerouted over Fairfield County.

The State and Commerce Committee resolution calls for the FAA to select an

alternative airspace redesign plan that includes either ocean routing or
leaves flight paths unchanged.

The FAA's Draft Environment Impact Statement [DIS], released last
December,
shows four alternative plans studied to address efficiencies and
reliability
of the Phildelphia/New York/New Jersey metropolitan area.

The DIS includes a "Future No Action Alternative" and an "Ocean Routing
Airspace Alternative" as well as the FAA-favored proposal that would
increase air traffic over Fairfield County.

The committee resolution also urges the FAA to conduct a cost-benefit
analysis of proposed alternatives and notes the city opposes any
additional
air traffic over Stamford that contributes to increased noise.

The favored FAA plan consolidates airspace and leads to greater
flexibility
in routing while reducing delays, according to the agency.

During a meeting in New Canaan Oct. 17, the chief elected officials of
several Fairfield County towns complained to Airspace Redesign Manager
Steve
Kelley that the FAA notification process was a failure and the agency did
not to alert officials that public hearings were being held on the
airspace
redesign. The public hearing period ran from early February to early May
and
the public comment period came to a close July 1.

Kelley said notifications were sent through e-mails but admitted the
notification process failed in certain instances.

According to the FAA, plans to redesign airspace from Pennsylvania to
Connecticut began in 1998 with staffing.

The FAA asserts 1,174 people attended 31 airspace redesign workshops
between
September 1999 and February 2000, and 712 comments were received. A
"scoping
process" consisting of 28 meetings was conducted from January to June
2001.

FAA attendance records for Stamford meetings shows 17 people attended a
2001
meeting and 14 attended a 2006 meeting.

Stamford's Director of Economic Development Michael Freimuth said recently

the notification process was "nonexistent," none of the area's chief
elected
officials were notified and no press releases were issued concerning the
public hearings.

State and Commerce Committee Chair Paul Esposito said the resolution was
scheduled to be taken out of committee at the Board of Representatives
meeting Wednesday night, Nov. 8, after the Times' deadline. Esposito said
if
the board of representatives approves the resolution, it will be forwarded

to Congress.

Funding for FAA programs must be approved by Congress.

Next year the FAA will issue a final environmental impact statement and
hold
public meetings on mitigation strategies the agency plans to develop in
response to collected comments.
