Monash and Swinburne Universities in Australia have received funding
from Victorian Law Enforcement Technology to conduct simulator drug
trials which sup****t new drug driving laws in Australia.
The simulator studies involve 40 subjects; the research design, subject
numbers and experimental controls are statistically insufficient to
test the real world or actual impairment levels from illegal drug use.
I have written formal complaints to the ethics committees at both
Universities on the misuse by Law Enforcement of poor quality academic
research to sup****t the demise of civil liberties in Australia.
Do not let law enforcement fund and misuse poor quality academic
research to try and justify new drug driving laws. In Australia there
is no interest in impairment levels, just in funding academic research,
very poor quality "simulator" research which sup****ts new laws.
An analysis of why the Victoria testing on simulators is inadequate
statistically or as academic research to sup****t drug laws.
