White House debates the future of Guantanamo

My guess is that this will be dragged out until the next President takes
office. If Obama is elected and closes the facility, the Repubicons will
accuse him of being "soft on terrorism".  Of McCain is elected and closes
the facility, silence will prevail.

Historically, however, the mess will go into the accounting of the
Bush Presidency.  

Nobody in America is brave enough politically so actually give
Guantanamo back to the Cubans.
